2012 Forecast

Trends forecaster Gerald Celente, the CEO of Trends Research Institute, and the man who successfully predicted the 1997 Asian Currency Crisis, the subprime mortgage collapse, the massive devaluation of the U.S. dollar, the 1987 stock market crash and the fall of the Soviet Union is predicting riots, protests, rebellions, and more in 2012. As he told Fox News: “By 2012, America will become an undeveloped nation. There will be a revolution marked by food riots, squatter rebellions, tax revolts and job marches. Holidays will be more about obtaining food, not gifts.” He claims that the “rebound” we have seen thus far from the collapse of banks, insurance companies, and automobile companies is due to “phantom money, printed out of thin air, backed by nothing”.

Based on forecasts like these, and “prophecies” of potential worldwide calamity, 2012 promises to be an interesting year. Speaking of 2012, see my updated website for some of these prophecies.

Doom of the Dollar?

Not to depress anyone, but since we are on the subject of the U.S. financial situation, I came across three articles this week on the weakened dollar. A USA Today article discussed the possibility of an alternative world currency, as a result. As noted in a New York Post article, the dollar lost ground this past week to the yen and the euro as the favored reserve currency and is at a sixty-two year low in terms of the percentage of the dollar that central banks are using for their reserve currency.

The plummeting dollar was the subject of a World Net Daily article in which an economics Nobel Prize winner was interviewed. Colombia University economics professor Robert Mundell, called the father of “world currency,” due to his ideas regarding replacing the dollar by an international currency, believes that the dollar will hit a crisis situation within a few years and will need to be replaced by a currency that is more palatable to countries such as China, which holds so much of the U.S. debt.

Lest we panic, we can hold onto the truth that God is in control, and this is all part of His plan. We know that the Bible prophesies a one-world economic situation with a one-world currency; therefore, the dollar will definitely have to move off of center stage. Might this occur by 2012?

Preparing to Rebuild the Temple

The Bible also clearly predicts that the Temple will be rebuilt in Jerusalem as part of a treaty between Israel and ten other nations. This will be the seven-year treaty that begins the final seven years leading up to the return of Christ to the earth to establish God’s kingdom.

This week, we learned that Jews in the Israeli town of Mitzpe Yericho established a school to train descendants of priests (from the tribe of Levi) in preparation for the rebuilding of the Temple. This school will train them to conduct the Temple service and properly offer the Temple sacrifices. This may be one more signal that we are near to the Rapture of the Church and the seven-year tribulation period prophesied in Scripture.

Global Warming and a One-World Government

Could global warming be used as a pretext to lay the foundation of a one-world government? That is what a former science adviser to British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher claims. Lord Christopher Monckton told an audience at Bethel University on Thursday evening that is the real purpose for the United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen December 7-18. According to Monckton, “I read that treaty [the one that will be presented at the conference] and what it says is this: that a world government is going to be created. The word ‘government’ actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity.”

Along with a one-world currency, the Bible predicts there will be a one-world government, as well—formed the last three and a half years before the return of Christ to the earth. Could it be that God has allowed such a ground-swell regarding global warming in order to use it to fulfill His prophetic word? Very interesting!

Jerusalem: Capital of the Palestinians?

This week the Jerusalem Post revealed a plan put forth by Salaam Fayad, the West’s hand-picked leader for the Palestinian people, to end the “occupation” of Israel over the Palestinian people. His plan involves not only establishing a Palestinian state in the West Bank, but making Jerusalem the capital in two years. (Hey, wouldn’t that be 2012?! Where have I seen that year before?) Not East Jerusalem, but Jerusalem—all of the city!

Of course, ultimately, we know God will not allow that. In fact, in the seven-year treaty between Israel and ten other countries, Israel will be allowed to rebuild the Temple on the Temple Mount—which is in East Jerusalem. This means Israel will not only hold onto West Jerusalem, but all of it. However, since the U.S. is looking favorably upon the Fayad plan, it seems there will be much pressure on Israel from the U.S. and others to give up at least a portion of Jerusalem. This means God may act soon to prevent this from occurring.

What God Might Use to Turn the Tide toward Israel

God could use a major act to turn the tide of at least ten nations toward the side of Israel (in order to create a regional peace treaty). According to the Jerusalem Post, a French magazine reported this week that Israel might attack Iran after December. If so, as I have written in past alerts, it is likely that the Iranian regime will be overthrown. An article this week in Time magazine confirms the weakness and trouble regarding that nation’s political situation. Meanwhile, Iran continues its race toward nuclear capability with another article this week announcing that it could develop a nuke this year! That means Israel does not have much time before it does something about that situation.

Middle East Treaty in 2012?

That is not only the Fayaad plan (as mentioned above), but it is also the Obama plan. In an article this week which mentions the Obama timeframe, it was revealed that President Obama is "disgusted" with Israel. More and more, it seems there is a drifting between the U.S. and Israel. This may play right into Biblical prophecy which focuses on Israel but does not mention the United States. That would be very odd if the U.S. continued to be a strong friend of Israel.

From China to Israel

This week Jews immigrated to Israel from China. Why is this significant? God announced in the Bible that He would bring Jews back into the land from all nations to prepare Israel for His kingdom upon the earth (with Jerusalem as the capital city). I am aware of Jews coming to Israel from many nations, but this is the first group of which I have heard from China. This group from China was small, but it still can be a fulfillment of what God promised.

As I show in my book, God has been bringing Jews into the land who will be open to believe in Jesus Christ for eternal life during the last seven years before the return of Christ. That is not to say all Jews moving to Israel will be open to the gospel, but it seems that Jews who will be open to the gospel will go, or have gone, to Israel.

In addition, I show in my book that the numbers of Jews moving to the land of Israel has greatly slowed with the nation currently at zero growth from immigration. This may indicate that Israel may be close to God’s appointed number of Jews in the land. If so, the seven-year treaty could be very soon!

Update on My Website

I hope you will check out my website as it is recently (as of today!) updated. I want to thank John Goodding for his good and tireless work on that. And soon there will be a new and better picture of me on the site thanks to Deb Germain, Julie Simpson, and Deb’s photographer friend, Connie, for taking their time and arranging a studio to do their magic on me. (And I need a lot of magic!!) This Tuesday, John Goodding and I are planning to make another video to put on the website—and to float in You Tube land; so be looking for that.

Thank You!

Once again, I want to thank all of you who have provided financial support, ordered copies of the book, and have prayed (especially those who have prayed!) for this project. I can’t thank you enough! If God uses the material in the book to impact lives for Christ and to prepare many for His return, it will be because of you!!

I Am Excited

I am excited—because our good and perfect God, with His good and perfect kingdom plan, is in control; and because we are one day closer to the soon return of Christ! Keep looking up!

John
